acting

In the 90s, theatre became my first home. Acting on stage shaped the way I see people, space, and emotion. Later, my journey moved into cinema, where art direction, production design, and associate direction grew naturally from that early experience. At times, acting continued alongside fiction films and commercial work, each form feeding the other. I believe every art supports another.

CHORKI ORIGINAL OTT SERIRES-BAAJI

I appeared in the OTT series BaAji, now streaming worldwide on Chorki. Set within the shadowy world of cricket betting in Bangladesh, the series explores power, influence, and moral collapse. I portrayed a national newspaper editor in a negative role, revealing the darker edges of authority and ambition. The series is directed by Arifur Rahman, a graduate of the Busan Asian Film School in Korea.

TV COMMERCIAL-MERIL PETROLEUM JELLY

Recently, I appeared in a television commercial for Meril Petroleum Jelly, the number one product in Bangladesh, under Square Group. I played the role of a director, sharing the screen with leading film star Shakib Khan. The commercial was directed by Adnan Al Rajib, whose short film Ali received a Special Mention at the Festival de Cannes 2025.

TELEVISION FICTION-MERMAID

I appeared as a director character in a television fiction that blended realism with a quiet touch of the surreal. The project was directed by national award winning filmmaker Nurul Alam Atique, and alongside acting, I also served as chief assistant director.
